Autumn Rocks

Today was one of those fall days that you remember for years and years. Tom and I went to The Apple Butter Festival. Not sure how I got him there. Maybe the fact that he knew beer would be there. We paid $5 for parking which to me was better than parking at the Windsor High School and riding the bus to Kimmswick. The fact that it is free is good but ya gotta wait. I didn't mind the short walk. We had no intentions of shopping for anything but still looked at the wares that were for sale. I saw a lot of homemade soup mixes and herbs, candles, homemade necklaces, and clothes for dogs. I think the best part was the food though. Once Tom found the beer trailer, It was right next to the blaring DJ who kept talking about the karaoke that was starting, we walked all around. They had every type of festival food you could imagine. I think they had more food vendors then craft vendors. Anyway I finally got a pulled pork sandwich. Not the best either. After getting the kids some Kettle Corn, which I ate a lot of, we decided it was time to leave. Stopped at the gas station and they took a drive thru some beautiful Jefferson County country side. The leaves are so colorful right now. Sometimes I wish they would stay this way all year. Anyways that was my day. Picked the kids up in our new minivan and headed home. I figured I should bring in all my plants since tonight it may frost. Nothing like waking up with frost on your pumpkin!
